Guide to Pets 101

I'm here to explain about the basics about your pet. I hope this guide will help you understand everything about your pet. Now introducing my Earthwalker, Lady Coco, with her buddies to start you on your learning adventure to understand your pets.

My Dragon on left is a Baby Pet, My Earthwalker on right is a Epic pet.

See the Difference? There's a lot. So let me explain them!

I will use Lady Coco to show you what a Epic pet is all about

so you can compare it to your baby pet.

On the first page, you will see its picture, its card if it gives any and its pedigree numbers.

You also can see its talents on this page.

Any talents you get in the Talents column in red is useful for PvP and regular battles.

Any talents you get in the Derby column in blue is useful for Derby Racing.

You only get one talent of Talents and one talent of Derby every time you level up.

At Epic, you will have four talents in each column.

Now the pedigree number.

All pets have their own Pedigree numbers and it varies a lot. But, what does it mean?

First, let me explain about this part very carefully since this is very important for you to know and understand pedigree numbers.

Each talent has its own rating: Common - 0 dot, Uncommon - 1 dot, Rare - 2 dots, Ultra Rare - 3 dots, Epic - 4 dots.

All talents will have dots. Look at this Sharp-Shot talent, notice it has 4 dots? That means this particular talent is Epic.

The 67 Pedigree Number is overall talents that includes ALL talents this pet has (hidden or not) in its bloodline.

The higher the pedigree number, the better talents overall.

Now, there's something you need to know, to make the numbers add up correctly, you would have to add one dot for each talent.

So if you added ALL talents' dots both hidden and not, it would add up to 28 for Talents

and 19 for Derby which adds up to 47. But then there are 20 Slots, 10 for Talents and 10 for Derby.

So 47 plus 20 is 67.

The (26) number is the overall score for the manifested talents and derby.

The higher the (#) is, the better the manifested talents and derby are.

So if you added only manifested talents' dots, it would add up to 18, but add the 8 mainfested slots

which will add up to 26.

When you hover your cursor some talents like Spell Proof or Sharp-Shot, they will tell you how much % of that talent they will give you.

Tip: If you get that talent at a lower level, for example it could say it has 2% of that talent. BUT, if you keep training it and levelling it,

the percentage of that talent will rise. Spell Proof can be up to 9%. Mine is 11% because of the other talents that made my Spell Proof stronger.

But other talents tend to stop at 5% such as my Sharp-Shot.

On the second page, it will have the pet name, what kind of school it is from and what kind of pet.

Notice the school icon on left of the kind of pet it is. If you see Hand Icon on Right, it means you Equipped or "using" that pet right now.

Now, do you notice your pet's level and experience on the second page?

Okay, let me explain how this works and how do you level up your pet!

My Baby Dragon's Level and Experience and this is what you will start with.

My Earthwalker's Level and Experience and this will look like this when your pet becomes epic.

Notice there's 5 levels: Baby, Teen, Adult, Ancient, Epic.

When you get your new pet, it will be a Baby. But then you can level it up four times by Pet Training your new pet buddy.

You need to go to Pet Pavilion in Wizard City and train your pet there on four different games.

You can earn Experience points towards your next level on your pet using those games and snacks.

Way of the Ninja Pig

Guide your pet through an intense obstacle course!

Grumpy Gobblers

Shoot your pet out of a cannon and destroy block castles!

Cannon Game

This game you can shoot your pet from a cannon! Lol!

Maze Game

In this game, your pet will run through a maze.

Dance Game

In this game, your pet will do dancing.

Gobbler Drop

This game your pet have to grab what's falling from the sky.

When you want to play a game, you will see this screen.

You can see what your pet needs improvement on and

each button on the bottom of each world gives you certain improvement

in certain areas.

Notice this in the screen??

It says to play a game, it will cost you 4 pet energy per game. And that I have 46 pet energy left out of 70.

Now every time you level up, the cost of mana energy to play a game increases by 2.

If your pet is a baby, it only costs you 2 pet energy per game. As a teen, the cost is 4 pet energy.

As an adult, 6 pet energy and finally as a Epic, it will cost you 8 pet energy per game.

The Games will also improve the Statistics in the pictures below.

They will improve the "shown" talents that will increase if you work on them.

If you have for example Pain Giver which gives you 2%, but you want to raise it to its max 5%.

You should make sure its Strength and Will is maxed out

because that will help raise the Pain Giver's percentage faster.

For any damage talents like Pain Giver, make sure Strength and Will is maxed out.

For any resist talent like Spell Proof, Strength and Agility.

For Accuracy like Sharp Shot or "(school)"-Shot, Agility and Intellect.

For Mana Gift, Intellect and Will.

For Pips like Pip O' Plenty or Pip Boost, Strength and Will.

For Health Gift, Agility and Will.

As for Snacks, Notice the Snack Icon  on the bottom of the Statistics? Click on that.

That Snack Icon will lead you to this page which will show you all of the snacks you currently have in your backpack.

Notice all of the snacks have different numbers and information? Let me explain what they are in the next picture.

Now take a look at this pet snack called the Glowing Star Fruit Snack.

Notice the number "5" in the top left? That's Experience Points.

In the opposite side, the school icon. This is a Balance Snack.

Look at the bottom.

That's 2 Intellect, 2 Power and 2 Strength.

Which means if you feed this particular snack

that's what it will give your pet to improve its Statistics.

Now your pet does have certain snacks it LOVES or LIKES.

If you use the right ones, they give you even more Experience points.

For that kind of information do check this out:

The Encyclopedia of Pet Snacks

Now most of the time, it's pretty obvious if you have a Fire pet, it will like Fire snacks.

But it won't LOVE all of them. Sometimes it even will LIKE another school snack.

Also if you check out the Snack Section of this website,

there's a complete list of Rank 6 and 5 Crafted Snacks that you can make.

There's also something called Mega Snacks which you can buy for 2500 crowns in the Crown Shop

which you can click on top left of your game screen.

It looks like this:

Go to Packs Tab and choose Mega Snack Pack.

Click on Buy to get a Mega Snack Pack and this is what you will get:

The snacks you get will be random but they all will be Megas.

Now about Leveling your pet.

At each level, the amount of Experience points to reach another level increases.

As a Baby - you start at O XP.

From Baby to Teen, 125 Experience to move up to next level.

From Teen to Adult, 250 Experience to move up to next level.

From Adult to Ancient, 500 Experience to move up to next level.

From Ancient to Epic, 1000 Experience to move up to next level.

Then Tada! Your Pet is EPIC!

Remember,  you only get one talent of Talents and one talent of Derby every time you level up.

At Epic, you will have four talents in each column.

Every time you level up, you will get this screen.

Now you see the Teen slot has been marked green now since it became a Teen.

Notice what talents it gained.

Pierce Train, which is a Epic talent, for the Talents column.

And Super Hurry, which is a Ultra Rare talent, for the Derby column.

This talent is also useful for Derby Racing.

Wait a minute, what is Derby Racing? Ah! Now I will explain about that.

Just go to our Derby Racing page.

Also, if you want to know what Talents there is that you could want.

Take a look at my Encyclopedia of Pet Talents.

Good luck with your Pet Training and hopefully you get the best talents you need!!

Welcome to Pets 101!

Our pets do help us in our every day game whether in regular battles or PvP.
